The San Antonio Area Interclub Matches
This is the third year for the San Antonio Area Interclub Matches. Below are the changes agreed by the participating pros for the upcoming 2007 season. If you have any questions concerning the new changes, please contact the golf shop.
Format: 4-Ball match play
Scoring: Each hole will be worth 1 point. 1 point will be awarded for a hole won, ½ point will be awarded for the tie of a hole, and 0 points for the loss of a hole. If a team wins a match, they will receive an additional bonus point. If a match is tied, no bonus points will be awarded. Since points are awarded for every hole, each match should be played in their entirety, regardless of outcome.
Flights:
A: Club Professional and amateur with handicap no greater than a 3.9 index
B: 4.0 - 7.9 index
C: 8.0 - 11.9 index
D: 12.0 and higher index
Note: The E flight has been eliminated for the 2007 season. All play will be scratch in the A, B, and C flights. The D flight will play off the low man of each match.
Tees: The Club Professional and A flight players will play the back tees. It is recommended B and C flights will play the middle tees, and the D flight play the forward tees. Since participating golf facilities have different ratings and difficulties, the B, C, and D flights will play from whatever tee box the hosting Professional deems fair.
Cost: The cost will remain the same as in prior years. Entry fee will be $75 for each amateur. This includes guest fee, cart fee, food and prizes.
Prizes: Prizes will be paid in Golf Shop Credit at the host facility to the top 3 teams who have accumulated the most points. The host Club will provide their existing member discount to the credit winners the day of play. After the play day, all credit is sold at full retail.
Schedule of Events:
2009 Dates Will Be Set Mid-Feb
